23rd March Cluster Share

Our hot issue is:

I only have one computer in the classroom, how do I integrate it into my programme?

1 comment:

  1. Group 1
1 Share in a team ie timetable
2 centralize a pod of desktops
    3 pool laptops
    4. Laminated timetable - students can timetable themselves

    Children work in pairs
eg interviews for reading interviewer asks about book and other child asnwers questions
paired reading, maths gamespaired writing 2 collaborate to write a story (5 mins) other 2 pick up story and write on. another 2 could be editors

    Group 2

Have a timetable with children's names - expert, teacher and learner - use a peg system
Include in maths and reading tumbles
Rotate children who have finished their work.
Rotate children who have unfinished ICT work
Bus Stop activity - children rotate so each group gets an opportunity to type ideas on computer.
    Mathletics/Basic Facts - 5 minutes (have a timer).

    Group 3
Make use of another classes computers or projectors.
Visually learners - so explain verbally as well as seeing it visually through a projector.
Use class/seniors blogs to celebrate learning.
    Daily mail - on wiki

    Group 4:
Speed maths test - 2 minutes on
    Group and Pair work.
    Pair tutoring
    Use the class experts
Use during inquiry learning - one research one record
Use during SSR, maths, reading times.
    Use with ESOL students
